The first year of your baby’s life is packed with incredible changes and some of the most joyful (and photo-worthy!) milestones happen around the 6–9 month mark. That’s why I offer Sitter Sessions: a chance to freeze time during this sweet, personality-packed stage. As a studio baby photographer in Hertfordshire, these are some of my absolute favourite sessions to capture!

📅 What is a Sitter Session?

A Sitter Session is a photoshoot designed specifically for babies who can sit up unassisted, usually between 6 to 9 months old. It’s that perfect in-between age. Your baby is full of expression, engagement, and squishy smiles, but not yet on the move.

That window is short, and oh-so-magical!

Big Smiles, Little Wobbles – Babies at this stage are often full of giggles, making for natural, joyful portraits.
Chunky Legs & Chubby Cheeks – This age captures all those gorgeous baby rolls before they grow into toddlers.
Curious Eyes & Personalities – You’ll start to see real personality shining through, from cheeky grins to thoughtful gazes.
Still (Mostly) Stationary – Unlike 1st birthday shoots, babies aren’t crawling away yet! That means more time to capture a variety of poses and expressions in a relaxed setting.
